2017 Penny Social – April 21 @ Murphy’s

Each year, the Mohansic PTA provides programs for our children that would otherwise not be part of their educational experience. These include: cultural enrichment assemblies, author visits, field trips, and library and classroom books.

We also fund and run the “Wee Deliver” and “Publishing” programs. This year we were also very happy to be able to purchase a new water bottle filling station which is located in the cafeteria for the entire school to use.

This is all made possible through our fundraising, our generous families, and dedicated volunteers. This year we would also like to provide additional tables for the library, to complete the wonderful renovations they did this year.

One of our main fundraisers is the bi-annual Penny Social. The Penny Social Committee has been busy soliciting donations from the generous and supportive businesses in our community.

If you or a family member have an item you would like to donate, please respond to this e-mail, or contact Rosanne Brackett at

Ideas for donations:
Sporting Event Tickets
Gift Certificate for a Service you may provide
Gift Cards in general

We sincerely appreciate your support and commitment to the education of our children.
Thank You.

Holiday Sharing Drive

Items Due By December 10th

Click Here >>> Google Drive Link

As the holiday season is upon us, it is a goal of the Mohansic PTA to think about families who are in need within our community.

We have adopted 2 families for the 36th Annual Holiday Sharing Drive through the Junior League of Northern Westchester.

If you would like to participate, click on the google link, and place your name and contact information next to the item you would like to provide.

All items must be new. They will not be accepting used items.

Each family is listed with their members’ gender and age, and the items they have requested. JLNW kindly asks that if a coat or boots are requested that we make those a top priority.

We also have listed their preferred grocery store to purchase Gift Cards from.

Please do not wrap any of the gifts. You can include wrapping paper and flat boxes if you wish.

Please label each item clearly for example “To: boy age 6″

All items must be collected by Saturday December 10th. I will be collecting the items at my home, address is on the google sheet.

If you are purchasing a gift card, you can back pack it in with your child, or place it in the PTA mailbox labeled PTA Rosanne Brackett “Holiday Sharing”.

Kindly send me an e-mail at if you are sending something in through your child, so I know to pick it up right away.

Last year Mohansic Staff and Families were so generous, that we had to ask for additional families to sponsor!!

Thank you in advance and enjoy your Thanksgiving Break.

Trunk or Treat Success and Thank You!

Our 3rd annual Trunk or Treat was a huge success!  Thank you to all the families who came and enjoyed the event, and to Summer Trails for providing a festive photo booth and crafts table.  We value your continued support.

A very special Thank You to our Trunk or Treat chairs, Betsy Yates and Erin Ropke.  These ladies worked so hard organizing this event, and it really showed!

We appreciate all of our Trunks too!  Your decoration and creativity were awesome!  We have the best volunteers.  We could not pull off this wonderful event without all of you.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween!  Please forward any pictures you may have, for Yearbook consideration, to

Trunk or Treat

trunk or treat

The Trunk or Treat Committee has been busy planning this event, the 3rd annual Trunk or Treat, and we are very excited!

A few items to mention:
Please make sure you have reserved your ticket from Eventbrite. Tickets are FREE but will be checked upon entry to the back lot of the school. It is not too late, please click HERE.
Trunk or Treating will not begin until 4:30. Our Trunks will need time to prepare their vehicles and get ready for the children. You may arrive at 4:15 to enjoy some music, and visit with Summer Trails to take a family photo at their Halloween display. They will also have cider available.
Parking – Please try to carpool if you can. Parking is always congested at this event, so be patient, and please do not park in any residential driveways along Locksley Rd.
This year we will be letting the children and families enter the rear parking lot in groups, which we hope will give all the little ones a chance to visit each trunk in an orderly fashion. Please follow our volunteers instructions as they manage this event, to ensure everyone has a wonderful time.
We are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow and sending you and your family off to Trick or Treat with a great head start!

Thank You

Red Ribbon Week Schedule Change

Just a reminder……
As you know during Red Ribbon Week, we celebrate each day with a theme sildenafil citrate tablets. Due to another event happening this Thursday, we are switching the theme for Thursday and Friday. Therefore, on Thursday the theme will be “Treat Everyone with Kindness” and the theme on Friday will be “Hair’s to Being Our Best!” where students and staff are invited to have a crazy hair day.
Thank You!
